What it is
Two things wake people up: light, and a mind that will not go quiet. Earbuds answer the second and then dig into your ear the moment you roll onto your side. A flat mask answers the first and does nothing for the second.
This puts both in one band. The cups are moulded so there is space in front of your eyes — you can open them inside the mask — and the nose bridge is shaped to close the gap where most masks let a line of light through.
The speakers are flat panels sitting over the ear rather than in it, so there is nothing to press on when your head is on the pillow.
