What it is
Most neck stiffness that starts in bed comes from the head sitting out of line with the spine for hours — propped too high on a stack of soft pillows, or too flat so the head tips back.
This one is shaped rather than stuffed. The centre dips so the back of the head settles into it, and the edges rise so that when you roll onto your side there is enough height to fill the gap between shoulder and ear.
It is firm at first. Memory foam softens with body heat over the first few nights, and most people stop noticing it inside a week.
